FRANCHY is a brand of chocolate based out of Santo Domingo, Ecuador.
The goal of this concept project was to reflect Ecuadorian culture as much as possible, since Ecuador is known for having some of the highest quality cacao beans in the world. There is also a conscious effort within the country to support locally produced products.
"Franchy" is actually the name of the owner's daughter, and the hat in the logo is a referral to the Panama hats that (despite their name) originate from the region in Ecuador the cacao beans come from.
I put together a concept packaging for this product, including the logo and all graphic elements. The subtle line art you see on all varieties is the mold design set in each chocolate bar. The lively, engaging colors were specifically curated to capture the positivity and vibrancy of Ecuadorian culture.
